I use the alias field for foreign film titles all the time.  It was one of the main use cases for my request.  Should help prevent a lot of dups.

Let's see if I get this right: if we have human judgment that A is B but 
A.name is different than B.name, A.name should become B.alias.

If so, I like the idea.

Now, what about aliases that are, for example, foreign translations? 
(this happens a lot in movies), can we add that info to aliases as well?
