Nice! I, too, like what you've done with the frames -- quick and
easy, gets things mostly done. One downside I've found, though, is if
you're working with a recurring event that doesn't already have topics
in Freebase/Wikipedia/etc, you don't get dates for them. For example,
I loaded instances of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and
though they're called "1999 Melbourne International Comedy Festival"
and the like, they don't have dates.
I just talked to Jeff and we just decided to make start date and end
date disambiguators on Event, so that should help there. You could
make a second field for start date which is the year, which will help
at least a bit. Then people who know the exact dates can get more
specific if they want.
Hopefully this disambiguator thing will also help expose missing data
on other topic pages on Freebase, and encourage people to fill stuff
in without going to the event's topic page itself.
