[Developers] how should I transform Wikipedia SVG images for use in Freebase?

Consider the Freebase topic 
http://www.freebase.com/view/en/commodity_futures_trading_commission and 
the corresponding Wikipedia article 
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/index.html?curid=479171   I'd like to add 
the image http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US-CFTC-Seal.svg from 
Wikipedia to the Gallery of the Freebase topic.  The problem is that 
Freebase images must be one of the following formats:  GIF JPG, or PNG ; 
the original image is in SVG. 

I can transform the SVG to PNG and then upload the PNG.  Is that the 
best way to go? Will Freebase support SVG natively?  Is it possible to 
transform SVG -> PNG in a lossless way?
