[Developers] Query Time Out Issue

I'm having difficulty figuring out why this query times out:

{"a:name~=" : "^x*","guid" : null,"limit" : 250,"name" : null,"type" :
"/location/citytown"}

When none of the other letters of the alphabet time out. Is there anything I
can do (other than lower it to 50 - which is where it starts to work btw) to
get around it?
