[Developers] Synonyms in Freebase

 Is there any explicit data to enable us to identify synonym articles (or synonyms for terms) that are on the same subject as a given article? I noticed some alternate terms for geographic entries, but I am not sure whether other types of entries also have that sort of data.

And is it possible to do all these things with downloaded Freebase data?
