[Developers] Freebase search

There’s a nice search function on the homepage. 
Is it possible to set up a locally hosted programming interface that gives us equivalent information to the article lookup from a Freebase download? 

Would it give us the article title, the types that the article is labeled with, and the relationships that the article has to other articles? Is there a version of the download that includes the abstract of the article?

And is it possible to do all these things with downloaded Freebase data?
