[Developers] Creating types through mqlwrite

In the MQL Reference,  there is a brief mention of how the API for creating
types dynamically through mqlwrite is "difficult and error prone".  However,
I cannot find where this process is described.  I would like to test my data
modelling ideas in the sandbox by programmatically creating various types
and then adding topics and testing queries.  During this phase of
development I'd like to avoid having to manually recreate types each week
when the sandbox is overwritten.

Can anyone help?
