[Developers] Editing compound values

Edit in place is fine, I just wanted to find out the ID and type of the
compound value while I am debugging. I'm not able to get that any more.

I'm also concerned that compound values can have many fields and the
display and editing of these can get very awkward if you force them onto
a single line in a list. It seemed useful in the old UI that you could
easily get to a separate page to edit them.
