[Developers] Maximum Size for "id"?

Will, 

all the documentation for mql and the Metaweb architecture can be found in the Complete MQL Reference Guide (http://mql.freebaseapps.com). Documentation of the core types is in Chapter 2. There's not any mention of a maximum length for id, does anyone else know if there's a constraint on id length?
