yes, there can be multiple paths to an object, but only one /type/ 
object/id 'primary name' for that object.
so your /en/outer-space example would not 404, but get you to the  
merged object.

as Kingsley points out, in the RDF output, we should provide all  
relevant alternate ids for a current topic, and we are working on how  
to do that.
