[Developers] Question about encodings in results

I'm doing metaweb movie query for Star Wars and I'm getting results like:

  u'key': [{u'namespace': u'/wikipedia/en',
            u'type': u'/type/key',
            u'value': u'Star_Wars_Episode_IV$003A_A_New_Hope'},

When can we expect to '$003A' type encoded characters in results, or is this
just unique to certain value types?
