Hi Steven,
Id suggest that the issue is not so much query syntax as it is data  
model.
XPath's datamodel has some overlap with MQL, but has some fundamental  
differences too.

Its perfectly possible to build an XPath/XQuery (or RDF/OWL/SPARQL)  
compatibility layer over MQL, and I expect people to do this when it  
makes sense for their application.

As for our own plans, we expect to continue to improve MQL  
functionality and export the data in several available formats,  
probably including RDF.
