[Developers] mapping Freebase to KR systems?

Has anyone done anything like mapping Freebase to other
Knowledge Representation systems?  For example, Protege
might be an interesting tool for exploring the Freebase
ontology and PowerLoom might be able to reason about
(subsets of) Freebase's relationships.

Speaking of which, if I wanted to download a full copy
of the Freebase ontology, is there a better way than
crawling through the domains and types?
