[Developers] Calendar systems

Are there any plans in the works to support other calendar systems?
Someone at the Melbourne user group meeting last night asked me about
the Julian/Gregorian problem, and just now I came across something
that uses the French Revolutionary calendar, and then of course
there's Hebrew, Mayan, and Discordian dates to consider.

Presumably if you're trying to specify the date of the recurring
religious holiday, Yom Kippur, you can't do that using the current
system type for dates/times.
