[Developers] Bad Cursor pt2

i'm still seeing the behavior (eg. alternating cursors), but instead of
alternating between two cursors, i see alternating between three.
the alternation occurs in cursors 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, etc.
i printed out the java hashcode ("hc") and a truncated version of
the cursor string itself.
