You can set the index in the client, as well. By default, property values are unindexed (which is why they seldom are displayed in the order in which you input them). You can set the index by rearranging the values in the edit window. The index itself isn't displayed in the client (as "0", "1", etc.) -- but it does (if set) determine the order in which the values are displayed.
