[Data-modeling] what is Country of nationality?

Hello --

This thread is to discuss what we mean by the property 'Country of  
nationality' (key: /people/person/nationality) in freebase.


1. Is it the country where the person currently resides or where she  
was born? Is it same as the country she is a citizen of?

2. Can people have multiple 'Country of nationality'? (I think they  
can if we map the 'Country of nationality' to citizenship but it  
depends on the laws of the different countries.)

For example:

1. http://www.freebase.com/view/en/ataf (wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ataf_Khawaja)

     "Ataf Khawaja is a popular Danish rap artist, of Pakistani origin."

     Is his 'Country of nationality' Pakistan or Denmark?

2. http://www.freebase.com/view/en/dolf_rieser (wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolf_Rieser)

     "Dolf Rieser (1898-1983) was a South African born British  
painter, printmaker, and teacher."

      Is his 'Country of nationality' South Africa or Britain?

3. http://www.freebase.com/view/en/ekaterina_sedia (wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ekaterina_Sedia)

     "Ekaterina Sedia is a Russian-born fantasy author currently  
living in the United States."

     Is her 'Country of nationality' Russia or US?



A special case for cases like United Kingdom (a country of countries!):

What about people born in England. Is their  'Country of nationality'  
England or United Kingdom? Similarly for people from Norther Ireland,  
Scotland and Wales.
