[Data-modeling] how much work done on modeling of personal names -- even for surname + given name?

I revised the model because the one I described below wasn't working the way
I thought it would . Unfortunately, all my changes are giving Freebase
hiccups. I've duplicated the model on sandbox and it's working like I think
it should (except for the pesky resorting of name order). I also used "Given
Name" and "Family Name" in the model. Here are some links:

http://sandbox.freebase.com/type/schema/base/litcentral/person_name_format

http://sandbox.freebase.com/type/schema/base/litcentral/person_full_name

A couple things I noticed:

1) Would it be possible to open up the administrative rights to sandbox
schema? I'd like to see how reciprocated links would work on "Given Name"
and "Family Name" but can't. Isn't testing potential changes to other's
schema one of the things sandbox is for?

2) Individual names don't show up in Freebase search unless they are already
typed for the property. It used to be possible to limit the search to an
exact match using a period. That's no longer the case. It would be nice if
that functionality was brought back.
