Yes, I did that to some extent already with http://electric.freebase.com/view/base/electric/views/electronic_component

Yeah, not my field either, so I don't want to fill in data so much as
know what kinds of things we should have schema for. The types I
created so far in that base are ones that seemed obvious -- to me --
from the Wikipedia entries on electricity. I also noticed that
robert's mobile phone base has schema for types of batteries, and
presumably this would be useful for all kinds of portable electronics
(mp3 players, cameras, etc) so it seemed reasonable to centralise.
