[Data-modeling] attribution

I noticed creator and attribution properties are set to the user when data
is created via freebase.com. Are there any cases when they would be
different when data is created using freebase.com?

What is the intended use for the attribution property? Can anything be
inserted in that property? Could it be used to store a webpage object id or
url that asserts the data is true? Is attribution intended only for cases
where data sets get inhaled like wikipedia or musicbrainz data?

This topic is slightly related to something I want to try soon. For every
link, I want a way for any user to indicate whether they believe the
assertion to be true or false. I imagine this could be accomplished by
pointing a protected user or group object to the link. How should something
like this be modeled?
