[Data-modeling] Mystery base

I came across the "Yeti" topic for some reason today and noticed there were
no types associated with it, nor any existing types that would be
appropriate containers for the fun properties that make this kind of topic
so interesting. So... I created a Mystery
base<http://mystery.freebase.com/>as a "...a shared, online source of
unknown facts and missing
information..." :)

So far I've started describing
cryptids<http://mystery.freebase.com/view/base/mystery/views/cryptids>(i.e.,
monster observations) and I'm thinking of keeping the base in the
realm of real-world mysteries, but I could also see a lot of the "Mystery
fiction <http://www.freebase.com/view/en/mystery_fiction>" topics finding
their way into this base because there's a lot of overlap. Think of it as
the Freebase version of "In Search
of...<http://www.freebase.com/view/guid/9202a8c04000641f8000000000283cd1>".
I'm open to suggestions and sharing administrative privileges with people
having a strong interest in this base. I created it on a whim so I probably
won't spend too much time on it, but who knows. I'm happy to help revise or
add schema for sure. Searching for "cryptid" is a good way to start finding
topics. It's amazing how many of these are already in Freebase waiting to be
described.

Have fun,
-Ed
