[Data-modeling] Units and Physical Dimension

Generally speaking, Freebase attempts to model things at a general  
level that's useful for everyone.  The measurement unit stuff is  
certainly not perfect, but it is what works for most common purposes  
like eg. the length of a highway or the height of a building or Oprah  
Winfrey's weight.  Anything that meets your strict scientific needs  
would disadvantage these "everyday" use cases.

If you need another measurement unit model for building physics  
applications, I would suggest you build it in a base.  If there is a  
broad user base for this, and consensus among physicists in the  
Freebase community as to the model you build, then we could consider  
promoting it to the Commons in due course.
