Hi everyone,
Freebase are planning a Hack Day for November 8th here in San
Francisco. This will take the place of our usual user group meeting
for that month.
The Hack Day is a full day event (10am-6pm) where we invite developers
and others interested in hacking on the Freebase platform to come join
us at Freebase HQ (the Metaweb offices) to work on projects, talk
about ideas, and learn about what's new with Freebase.
Many of you will have heard of our Acre app development platform,
either via the Freebase blog or user group meetings or somewhere
else. Acre is on the verge of being officially released (though in
reality, many people have been using it already), and the Hack Day
will be a great opportunity to try out our social, server-side
Javascript, fully-hosted app development platform.
We'll also have a bunch of people attending who are interested in data
modeling, loading, and sharing, so if you're more of data-oriented
person this is a great event for you too.
Of course the event is completely free, and we'll be providing lunch,
caffeine, and tshirts.
For more information and to sign up for the event, please visit the
website at http://hackday.skud.user.dev.freebaseapps.com/
