[Data-modeling] How to model a cross-domain type?

If you don't absolutely require using a single type, this sort of coming
together of data that belongs together tend to develop organically in
Freebase.
Take a look at the data-rich Star Wars topic
(freebase.com/view/en/star_wars), for example. Through its types (Film
Series, Book Subject, Fictional Universe, etc.) this page ties together
all of the films, books, web sites, locations, characters, species, and
languages in the Star Wars universe. The user-created types even add
pinball machines and amusement rides with this theme.
