ooh!
i would like to see:
- parks should all be co-typed as locations - so we could set the "contains" property to locations within the park (peaks, beaches, historical sites and buildings)
- parks administrator type (like ca state parks, nps, blm)
- related community / advocacy / volunteer organizations (friends of type orgs). ggnra has a conservation trust - http://www.parksconservancy.org/ not sure how that would be modelled.
- concessions - things like golf courses, horseback riding, hotels in parks are often contracted out
would have properties of concessioner (is that a word?) and service.
- statistics: # acres, annual visitors
the nps website has a lot of structured info...

Subject: [Data-modeling] help with parks & recreation
A while back I started to model "Parks and recreation"
http://www.freebase.com/view/user/alecf/recreation
The goal is mainly very local parks to see if they have playgrounds,
tennis courts, etc... I started with the parks in my town (Berkeley,
CA, USA) and it looks like a few others have been added....
But I'd like some help flushing out some of the types.. anyone have
any feedback?
Alec
