A specific event does have a 'sport' so I could imaging it having an event too.

The 10,000 meters is a real thing and already exists.

In general I like the fact that the Men's 3 meter springboard at the 1932 olympics
is modeled as a topic.

It was a real sporting event, like the 2006 FIFA World Cup final.  We may have images of it, and there may be more to say about that specific event.

I dont see the argument for this being overly complex, when we have all the data already.
