[Data-modeling] Upcoming schema changes

In the interest of actually performing this migration, I'm going to rename
the proposed "writer" type to "author" (which will really, in effect, mean
that I'll keep the current author type, and just change some of the
properties on it).  

We can always change the name of the type if we later decide that we need
to.
