[Data-modeling] Religion domain: churches => places of worship

I think it would be great to have all the relationships between the 
different "places of worship" and their respective religions. Would the 
new type be restricted to architectural structures like 
churches/mosques/temples or would it also encompass geographical 
locations like the city of Mecca or the Ganges river?
