Hi Freebase Data Modelers,
I cross-posted this to the developers list, so I apologize if you're
receiving this again. My name is Dan Delany, and I'm a Computer Science
student at University of Colorado in Boulder. I'm doing a research project
on the nature of Freebase's collaborative community. If you've contributed
to Freebase in any way, or you've got any interesting knowledge about how
Freebase is being created, please take a look at the following questions and
respond with any thoughts you might have:
What do you consider your role in the Freebase community to be?
How did you get involved in Freebase, and what is your motivation for adding
knowledge/schemas to the database?
Do you generally add data as individual facts, or do you run scripts which
import large datasets?
How helpful/accessible is the community of knowledge contributors? How does
it differ from the communities of app developers and data modelers?
If you have any other interesting facts or opinions about the way the
Freebase is doing things, please include them. If you'd like to talk by
phone, please give me a call at 970-309-8598. Thanks for your time!
- Dan Delany
